Michael Essien Unveils Sloane House

Michael Essien, Chelsea�s outstanding midfielder, has officially unveiled the Sloane House apartment complex at a function in Accra. The event, which brought together investors, business leaders and entrepreneurs in the housing industry, was to showcase Comland Ghana Limited�s apartment, which is located at the Airport West Residential area. Georges Mohasseb, Comland�s Architect and Designer of Sloane House said �with Sloane House we not only aim to cater for the accommodation needs of Ghanaians, but we want to offer a heightened luxury and modern comfort that will become a beacon to follow.� He said the company�s desire �is to carefully work according to the best standards and codes, which means the project is built following the International Building Code, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Ghana and the Engineering Consultants Group. Naturally, the premises are structurally designed in accordance to seismic requirements.� He added that the facility will consist of four, five storey buildings comprising 17 apartment units in 3 bedroom and 2 bedroom configurations, a recreational facility and both underground and street level car parking. The 3 bedroom flats, he added, offered vast area of 255 square metre and the 2 bedroom flats offered 168 square metres. He said each room was fitted with a bathroom, kitchen, electrical air conditioning and living and the dining area. Mr. Mohasseb noted that �the buildings make use of an environmentally-friendly brick stone and the walls are doubled for sound and thermal insulation ensuring privacy and energy efficiency.� He said CCTV installation will be set up at strategic positions to boost security. �Sloane House is designed as an oasis of comfort and it encourages and enhances interaction with your neighbours,� he emphasised. He indicated that the apartment will be completed by December 2013. In a related development, Comland Ghana Limited, presented a cheaque for GHc10,000 to the Michael Essien Foundation to facilitate its programmes.
