The Ayew's play annual testimonial for late Jordan Anagblah

The Ayew family would play an annual game in honour of the late Jordan Anagblah at the Nania FC Park. The Ayews had a close relation with the former Ghana Football Association Vice President who was also the chairman of the Black Satellites Fifa Under 20 World Cup winning squad which was captained by Andre Dede Ayew. Rahim Ayew, the elder son of ex Black Stars captain Abedi Pele, told www.liquidsportsghana.com that the annual affair will be sustained in memory of the late Anagblah who was more than a fatherly figure to the Ayew family. According to him, the late Anagblah maintained a close relationship with his father, Abedi Pele, for several years and it therefore came as a big shock to the family when his death was announced. To this end, the first of such matches was played at the grounds on Friday with a galaxy of stars in attendance. The game which was originally billed to take place on Thursday under the patronage of the injured Andre Dede Ayew-Abedi Pele's son- took on an added dimension following the sudden death of the FA capo. However, a select Professional team featuring Togos Emmanuel Adebayor, Jordan Ayew, Daniel Opare, David Addy and Rahim Ayew lost 1:0 to Nania FC eventually. The Black Stars duo of Michael Essien and Sulley Muntari watched the well patronised from the touchline.
