NPP: Mills Death Rumour Is NDCs Ploy To Win Sympathy Votes

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) says it strongly believes rumours on the death of President Mills could be a ploy by the NDC to win sympathy votes in the December polls. The rumours of his death, resurfaced on social media website, Facebook late Friday, the President who left for the US on Saturday night expressed his displeasure at the rumours. He said he was very strong and was only going for a check-up with his doctors to ensure that he has no problem with his health. The New Patriotic Party has, in the past, questioned the health status of the president, demanding that he makes his health records available for public scrutiny. Some believe the latest rumour on President Mills death were masterminded by apostles of the NPP. But Greater Accra Chairman of the NPP, Ishmael Ashittey in an interview with XYZ News said some NDC insiders are behind the scheme. I listened to the President at the airport on radio and you could see that physically he is ok but the way he was talking you could see that his speech was not coherent Mr. Ashittey said. He added that but how can people start rumoring that our President is sick, it can only come out from where he is, that is from the castle itself. This same thing came out in 2008 that the President went for a checkup and is dead and through that the President won some sympathy votes and maybe it might be a trick from the NDC to get sympathy votes.
