The leaders of the Zongo Community in Hohoe have announced a GHC 1000 reward for anyone who can give them information on the whereabouts of the missing regalia. This announcement follows an apology rendered by the leaders over the weekend about the clashes that has left about two people dead in the area over the exhumation of the Hohoe Chief Imam. The Gbi State gave an ultimatum for the return of the regalia which allegedly went missing from Togbiga Gabusu's palace during the clashes. The deadline to the ultimatum expired and was further extendered but the Zongo leaders came out to say they have not been able to find the items. They have however shown commitment to finding these items by announcing a reward for whoever could give them information on the regalia. Announcing the reward, Chief of Hohoe Zongo Community Alhaji Tajudin Meriga indicated that �anyone who can bring out the regalia or help us to trace and find the regalia or someone who can come in a hidden way to let us know where the regalia [are] that person will be rewarded with a handsome fee of GhC1000.� Alhaji Meriga added �we had a meeting with the Regional Minister [Henry Ford Kamel] and the National Coordinating Director have also increased the tally which I will not specify for you. They supported so as to enable us retrieve the regalia.� Meanwhile the Gbi Traditional Council has accepted the apology from the leaders of the Zongo community over the clashes. Spokesperson of the Gbi Traditional Council Togbui Agyeman IV told Citi News in an interview that they appreciate the step taken by the Zongo leaders to ensure peace in the area. He said �their move is in the right direction in the sense that if you offend someone and you know you have offended the person and you move to apologise it is a good step in the right direction so the Gbi Traditional Council has accepted their apology. We�re looking forward to the next step in the resolution of the impasse.�
