Curfew Imposed On Tefle

The South Tongu District Security Committee has imposed a curfew on Tefle in the Volta region and its environs following the alleged serial murders in that part of the country. There have been a number of mysterious murders in the township with the latest one being a woman believed to be in her 20s who was found dead at a lavatory. Her death brings the total number of such deaths to six. The police have apprehended a middle-aged man, Sammy Tsatsu, suspected of being behind the recent killings. The District Chief Executive of the area, Daniel Amelorku said the curfew would last till after the December elections. Hon. Amelorku added: The gong-gong was beaten to that effect so after 8pm all activities must stop till the following morning 6am till the end of the year after the elections. Its because of the murders, and now that we have apprehended the prime suspect, we may after a thorough investigation relax the decision of the curfew.
