Full statement: Muntari Denies AC Milan Wage Cut

I was playing football with mates on the football field (not on the beach) last week preparing myself before pre-season started on 9th July. Its unfortunate but these things happen. There was no tackle, I just felt something in my knee when I kicked the ball and immediately knew something was wrong so I immediately called the AC Milan doctor. The club has been very close to me during this period. I spoke to Adriano Galliani before I went in for surgery, he was angry and he has every right to be, but he told me not to worry. I have not heard of a possible reduction of my salary. I know my body and what its reaction will be: I will be back soon. Im not saying Ill recover in a couple of days and I know I cant push myself too far, but I willbe back soon. I want to give my all to the club that has always been close to me and given me a wonderful new life as a footballer. Muntari was in Ghana at the time of the incident, ahead of pre-season training with AC Milan. The Ghanaian midfielder is now back in Milan following successful knee surgery and hopes to return to match action before the end of the year.
