NPP Aspirants Car Smashed

THE NEW Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Cape Coast, Alfred George Kojo Thompson has had his car vandalized by unknown assailants. The rear windscreen of the Kia Rio 2010 model with registration number GT 5203 10 was found smashed at the usual parking spot in front of his house when Mr. Thompson woke up on Thursday morning. Mr. Thompson told Daily Guide he was worried about the situation as he had not been in any confrontation with anyone. He suspects a political opponent might have used a big stone or block to smash the windscreen to render him immobile to campaign since people in the constituency had embraced his message. He was grateful the incident occurred while he was asleep as his assailants may have harmed him as well. He accused a National Democratic Congress (NDC) serial caller at Abura in Cape Coast of masterminding the attack. He claimed the lady called in to Radio Central (GBC) during its morning show programme last two weeks demanding that his car be removed from spot where he usually parked it. Mr. Thompson noted he had reported the incident to one Mr. Wiafe, the Crime Officer at the Cape Coast Metropolitan Police Command at Bakaano. He said he has repaired the car to enable him continue with his campaign towards the December polls.
