Chase Out Corrupt Mills Government Nana Akufo Addo

The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo, has descended heavily on the Mills-Mahama administration, calling it a corrupt one which needs to be driven out to keep the nations coffers safe. According to him, he would never let his government engage in corruption at the detriment of the people it was supposed to serve. Governance is about sharing the national cake not satisfying ones selfish interest, he said. Nana Addo was speaking to the chiefs and people of Kasapin in the Asunafo North District of the Brong Ahafo as part of his four-day Restore Hope Tour of the Asutifi North and South and Asunafo North and South Districts of the Brong Ahafo Region. Despite the heavy rains during Nanas arrival in the Asunafo North District, the chiefs and people met him as for some, it was the first time they were seeing him. Nana Addo noted that then candidate Mills, during the 2008 campaign, called on Ghanaians to reject the NPP because of what the NDC called corruption but it had proven to be the worse government Ghana had ever had. He therefore called on the people to vote against the NDC to free themselves from the suffering they were going through under the current government. The NPP flag-bearer, in an interaction with the people of Akrodie, who are mostly farmers, said he would make sure that the farmers enjoyed incentives that would help them to develop and also build the road network to help them to transport their foodstuffs to the towns. I will continue the good things former President Kufuor was doing for the farmers and will even do more to make sure farmers are comfortable, he added. According to him, judging from the eight-year administration of the NPP and what was happening now, one could see that the NPP was the best party to rule when it came to development and programmes. He promised to strengthen the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) make it strong to serve all the people in the country not some people. Nana Akufo-Addo reiterated his plans to make education free from primary to senior high school level. He called on them to vote for him and the parliamentary candidate, Robert Sarfo-Mensah, to bring development to the constituency. Most of the people promised their readiness to vote for the NPP because of the hardships they were going through.
