Belgium-Based Rahim Ayew Prays For Injury-free Season

Ghana midfielder Rahim Ayew believes he can hog the headlines in the Belgian top-flight if he remains fit through-out the season. The energetic versatile player suffered several injuries last term after making a bright start last season. Rahim underwent surgery to cure a knee problem and even before that was sidelined by a thigh problem. He returned to action at the back end of last season and played few matches in the Belgian play-offs. This summer, Rahim has played in every pre-season friendly for Lierse before their league opener against Gent on July 29. Rahim, whose siblings Andre and Ayew have been hits in Europe at Olympique Marseille, hopes to make an impact this term. Last season, was not the best for any player and in my case I had too many injuries including doing an operation on my knee, the first son of legend Abedi Pele said. Insha Allah, I looking to the start of this season and if all go well, then people can see my potentials. Rahim formerly played for Zamalek where he had a frustrating spell.
