A Deputy Minister for Information, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, says though he will not allow himself to be drawn into a possible war of words with �Citizen Vigilante� Martin A.B.K. Amidu, he finds it outlandish that Mr Amidu failed to report him (Ablakwa) to the president once he (Amidu) felt his conduct was unbecoming of a government appointee. The Deputy Information Minister was severely censured by the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) after the former Attorney General and Minister for Justice implicated him for fronting for ISOFOTON. According to Mr Amidu, the deputy minister called him during his tenure as the Principal State Attorney to plead with him to authorize payment of a judgment debt of $1.3million to the Spanish company, but he refused because the matter was still in court. The former A-G further suggested that Mr. Ablakwa has a reputation for undermining his bosses, wondering why he (Ablakwa) called him over such a sensitive matter instead of referring same to his immediate boss at the time, Hon John Akologu Tia. But addressing the subject on Joy FM�s Newsfile programme, Okudzeto Ablakwa said he believed the former A-G has been preparing the grounds to entrap and engage him in �battles� and �insults�, but he (Ablakwa) will not fall for it. Whiles describing the former A-G as sometimes too adamant in his disposition, the deputy information minister questioned why he (Amidu) failed to apprise the president of his (Ablakwa�s) unprofessional conduct if truly he felt he (Ablakwa) had ulterior motives. �If indeed he thought that my call was that effect payment, (you ignore the fact that there was a judgment we said pay)�even if my call was for payment and he found it wrong, what did he do about it? Did he report me to the president, was I sanctioned?...So as for the NDC government, it was only Martin Amidu who is upright? Is he the only one who is right�from everybody to the president; are we out to commit gargantuan crime against Ghana? Let the good people of Ghana judge...,� he stated.
