Central Regional NDP Takes Off

The Central Regional branch of the yet to be outdoored National Democratic Party (NDP) is already operational. A document authored by regional chairman of the party, Kojo Hobo Koomson suggests that interim regional executives of the party have held their maiden meeting during which a resolution was made regarding the commitment of all of them to the cause of the political grouping. They resolved that we are endorsing the formation of the new party with the trail for the formation of the interim constituency and branch executives. They added for that much the party faithful are more than grateful at the foresight of the men and women of integrity in whose vision this great party the NDP is being formed. The formation of the NDP they pointed out is the realization of the crass incompetence of the ruling government and its lukewarm attitude at combating corruption, which they said is is an affront to the values of probity, accountability and social justice for all under which banner we rallied. The interim executives expressed delight at the formation of the party seeing in it an effective means of salvaging the core values of social justice in line with the vision of Mr. Jerry Rawlings they said. We pledge our unflinching support to the NDP and vow to work with every fibre of our body to ensure victory for our beloved party NDP in the 2012 election, they said. They assured Ghanaians that contrary to what they described as infantile propaganda against the NDP, the party has come to stay and will live with truth, honesty, integrity, unity, peace and progress from generation to generation. The NDP, the latest political party in the country with its roots in the NDC has gotten political space observers making assortment of analysis about the party and how it would or not impact on the fortunes of the NDC. Many see the hands of former Jerry John Rawlings and his spouse in the formation of the party although there has not been proof to that effect yet.
