Emmanuel Clottey: Im Not In A Rush To Start For Black Stars

Goal.coms World Player of the Week, Emmanuel Clottey, has said he is not in a rush to take up a starting role in the Black Stars, despite his incredible performance in the 2012 Caf Champions League. He said such decision is the prerogative of coach Kwesi Appiah. The prolific striker has 11 goals in his name to lead the goal scorers log in the Caf Champions League and his dazzling performance has made him a household name in Africa football. The 24-year-old said the feat he has attained in the continental top flight does not make him an automatic choice in the senior national team, but he will continue to prove what he can do best at club level. Im always ready to serve my country and whatever the coach says is what Ill take, the Berekum Chelsea hat-trick hero told Goal.com Ghana. The coach knows best so the rest lies with me to continue to show what I can do. It will be nice to start, but its about time and there is no rush in this. Im only grateful I have been given the chance to be part of the Black Stars, which is never easy to come by. All of us are playing our parts in different ways, the former Odense BK striker said.
