Maxwell Konadu: Black Satellites Will Score A Goal Or Two Against Uganda

The stand-in coach of the Black Satellites Maxwell Konadu is confident his charges can secure an important result in the 2013 Africa Youth Championship first leg qualifier against Uganda. Ghana will be playing the Hippos this weekend in Nakivubo in the first leg of the qualifiers for a place in next year's finals to be staged by Algeria. Konadu is optimistic of a win after winning his entire warm up games with local sides. We have played series of friendly matches just to look at their strengths and weaknesses and try to fix where we think we fall short and I think I have accomplished that, the coach told Goal.com Ghana ahead of their departure from Accra. The assistant Black Stars coach believes the bench has been able to seal a lot of the loopholes and returning with all points is their objective. We have quality in our team and the boys know exactly what they have to do under pressure to get the needed results, we are hopeful of getting a good score line. I have seen their last matches on paper and I think they play very well at home so our target is to go there and try to defend well, but not playing a defensive game, we have strength in midfield and we will attack when is very necessary and I think we can get a goal or two, he predicted. The Black Satellites won the Africa Youth Championship and World Cup titles in 2009.
