NDC Cautioned Against False Sense Of Popularity

A lecturer at the Political Science Department of the University of Ghana, Dr. Seidu Alidu, says the many tributes being paid by Ghanaians on the death of Professor Mills should not make the NDC complacent and prevent the party from working harder. He says if the NDC dwells on those sympathies showed by Ghanaians, thinking they will transform into votes during the December polls, it could be disastrous for the party. Dr. Alidu spoke on GBC's Current Affairs Programme, Behind the News. Touching on the nomination of Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur as Vice Presidential nominee, Dr Alidu said in the event that Mr Amissah Arthur is chosen as the running mate of President Mahama, it could cause problems for the NDC. This is because, it is a short time to market him.
