Ghana's Democratic Performance Will Soar - President Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama on Monday stated that the smooth transition that characterized the political atmosphere after the death of President John Evans Atta Mills would deepen Ghanas democracy. Ghana, over the years has become the democratic envy of other African countries, and I want to believe that the peaceful transition that we experienced will further score more political marks for us in the eyes of other countries. President Mahama stated this when Alhaji Razak El-Alawa, President of the Old Vandals Association called on him at the Castle,Osu. The delegation was at the Castle to sympathize on the death of President Mills and to also congratulate him on his new position as the President of the Republic. President Mahama said late President Mills had brought in a new dimension of political dispensation, which included modesty, honesty, integrity and piety that would subsequently give other African countries alternatives to their styles of leadership. Late President Mills has made an indelible mark in our political dispensation, and I know that his death will provide other leaders the opportunity to experiment what he exhibited in his few years as the President of Ghana, he added. Mr El-Alawa pledged the support of the Vandals to the Mahama-led administration to carry out their constitutional mandate. We are here to mourn with you as an Old Vandal to and to pledge our support for you.
