Sekou: Mills Was A Good Man Not A Great Leader.....Allotey Jacobs Rubbishes Claims

The Central Regional Communications Director of the NDC, Bernard Allotey Jacobs has rubbished claims by Dr. Sekou Nkrumah that President Mills may have been a good person but he was not a great leader. According to Allotey Jacobs, Sekous comment is infantile and should not be taken serious by Ghanaians. He also has uncharitable words for Former President Rawlings, urging the former President to accept his wifes loss at last years Sunyani congress and allow the party to grow in peace. The son of Ghanas first President, Dr. Sekou Nkrumah over the weekend discounted claims that late President John Mills was a great leader. Dr. Sekou Nkrumah has rather described him as a good man but not as a good leader. Speaking on Joy FM last Saturday, Dr. Sekou Nkrumah reiterated that it would be hypocritical for him to call Professor Mills a great leader when he knows that is not the truth. However, Bernard Allotey Jacobs has described Sekous comment as irresponsible and without merit. He accused Sekou Nkrumah of pursuing the agenda of the opposition NPP, hence his stance on the matter. As for Sekou, he has joined NPP Communications team, so it is no wonder he is speaking like this because that has been the kindergarten song of the NPP, he declared. People are deliberately closing their eyes to the unprecedented achievements of Prof Mills. But despite their actions and intentions, Professor Mills is the best democrat Ghana has ever produced. Allotey Jacobs also lashed out at former President Rawlings for making a similar statement on BBC immediately after the death of president Mills, saying as for Rawlings, when he says things we dont take him serious.
