NDC To Vet MP Aspirants In 53 Constituencies

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will be holding its vetting for aspiring Members of Parliament in 53 constituencies including the proposed constituencies in nine regions across the country this weekend. According to a statement signed by a deputy General Secretary of the party George Lawson, the list includes the proposed 45 new constituencies. Primaries in the constituencies are also expected to take place this weekend, with the exception of Greater Accra Region where both vetting and primaries have been put on hold pending resolution of some anomalies in the documentation of aspirants. The NDC has therefore asked all Members of Parliament in these specific areas currently in Accra to report at the NDC party headquarters on Thursday to go through their vetting process.
