Peace In Ghana Is Divine Intervention - President Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama on Thursday said the peace Ghana had enjoyed over the years was due mainly to divine intervention and there was the need to ceaselessly pray to receive more blessings. It is not by accident, but divine intervention and Gods favour that Ghana has been a peaceful country and it is not by accident that Ghana had the best Gross Domestic Product in the whole world last year, he added. President Mahama said this when the leadership of Womens Aglow International called on him at the Castle, Osu. The leadership was at the Castle, to congratulate him on his elevation to the high office of the President of the Republic and to assure him of their intercessory prayers in the coming months. President Mahama said late President John Evans Atta Mills virtues of honesty, modesty, integrity and religiousity would be pursued earnestly to advance the fortunes and development projects for the benefit and betterment of all Ghanaians. He promised that his administration would continue to observe the national day of prayer that late President Mills initiated and called on Ghanaians to lend their prayers and support that would empower him to govern the country. Mrs Dorothy Danso, National President of Aglow International, gave the assurance that they would continue to have their national intercessory prayers on the third Saturday of every month and regional prayers every first Saturday of the month. We shall continue to pray for the President of the land for Gods guidance and protection for him to carry out his constitutional mandate, she said.
