Blacks Stars midfielder Derrick Boateng has exclusively told The Weekend Globe he wants to leave his club FC Dnipro. Boateng featured for the Black Stars in Wednesday�s friendly against China. He has recently been linked to some clubs in England including West Bromwich and Fulham. Another English side West Ham United turned their attention to him after they failed to lure USA player, Clint Dempsey, from Fulham but a bid was rejected by Dnipro. The former Liberty Professionals player has fed for numerous clubs since he began playing professional football. He made his first FIFA World Cup appearance on 17 June 2006, when he replaced Otto Addo at half-time in the 2-0 win against the Czech Republic. He was also selected for the national team for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, in which Ghana progressed to the quarterfinals. The FC Dnipro midfielder revealed he was racially abused during a Ukrainian Premier League match in which he was red carded. He said he was called a black monkey by another player. Boateng has been a key player for the Black Stars for the past two years having played in at the Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea and being fully involved in the team�s qualifiers for the World Cup. He told The Weekend Globe after the Black Stars friendly against China, the energetic midfielder expressed his desire to quit the Ukrainian side. �I really want to leave the club and I can tell you I am not happy there. I just want to go to another club and I know by God�s grace I will leave�. Boateng plays as a central defender or defensive midfielder for Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in the Ukrainian Premier League.
