UFP Chairman Suspended After Sacking Flagbearer

The National Chairman of the United Front Party (UFP) has been suspended indefinitely for allegedly lying to the public that the National Executive Committee sacked the flagbearer of the Party. According to the executives, Nana Agyenim-Boateng single-handedly sacked the flagbearer, Akwasi Addai after accusing him of incompetence. Mr. Agyenim-Boateng is alleged to have ignored protests by the executives and issued a press statement saying that the flagbearer was sacked after an emergency meeting of national and regional executives of the party. National Treasurer of the UFP, Alhaji Osmani Inusah in an interview with XYZ News said Nana Agyenim-Boateng was suspended because his continuous disaffection towards some members of the Party, coupled with his constant dismissal of some of its executives are inimical to the progress of the party. This is not the first time he has sacked somebody in the party. He has sacked national organizer, womens organizer, communications director and operations director within two months. He lied that the NEC had a meeting and sacked the flagbearer which was not true. He went ahead and wrote a letter to the Electoral Commission to change the constitution to give him all the powers. We have suspended him and he should take it in good faith maybe we would consider him and call him back Osmani Inusah said.. But Nana Agyeman Boateng in an interview with XYZ News said he dismissed the partys flagbearer based on a unanimous decision by the National Executive Committee. He said those who claim to have suspended him indefinitely are not legitimate members of the party.
