We Need Experienced Players Back In Black Stars - Andre Ayew

Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew admits the team misses its experienced players ahead of the 2013 Nations Cup qualifier against Malawi. The Black Stars are without substantive captain and his deputy John Mensah and Michael Essien respectively for the first leg game of the ultimate qualifier for the finals to be staged early next year in South Africa. The team is also without Sulley Muntari and John Paintsil for the game to be played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday. And Ayew concedes the team needs its experienced heads back as soon as possible to help the side achieve its set goals. We know they are big players, we know that they have brought a lot to the national team and they are players who have a lot of experience in the squad. They are players we miss a lot, he told GHANAsoccernet.com. Personally I hope that captain (Mensah) gets a club very soon, you know there have been rumours around hopefully hell sign very quickly, I wish him the best of luck. Michael (Essien) too the same, hes gone to Madrid and hopefully hell get the opportunity to play more in the biggest club in the world to me. So I hope that all of them get back to playing wise and hopefully back to the national team because we need everybody. The Black Stars will travel to Monrovia for an international friendly with Liberia three days after hosting Malawi in Accra on Saturday.
