Im Not Fit Dede Ayew

Olympic Marseille forward Dede Ayew says he is yet to regain full fitness after his shoulder surgery. He was in the starting line-up of the Black Stars side that recorded a 2-0 win over the Flames of Malawi in the Nations Cup qualifier in Accra two days ago. At a post-match press conference at the Media Centre of the Accra Stadium, he pointed out that he was on his way to gaining full fitness. I am not 100% fit, I am still warming myself up to full fitness after my shoulder surgery, Dede said. According to Dede, who had a quiet afternoon in the Black Stars qualifier last Saturday, he had wanted to do more but things did not go the way he expected. We wanted to do more, but sometimes you just accept what comes your way in good faith. All of us cant perform equally. If Gyan does play well and I dont in a game, the most important thing is we win because its team work, Dede added. The 22-year-old winger went under the knife in April this year for his left shoulder surgery, performed in Lyon by Dr Walsch. The successful operation took him off the pitch for three months, and he had not been in the national shirt since the Gabon-Equatorial Guinea Nations Cup, where he picked the injury till last Saturday.
