The Chiefs and People of Buem State in the Jasikan District of the Volta Region have resolved to work together to eliminate agitations and stressful situations which are threats to ensuring free and fair elections in the December polls. They have therefore tasked the various community leaders to organise durbars to advise the youth against indulging in electoral malpractices and violent acts. The resolution was passed and read by the Coalition for Peace and Development of Buem at a durbar to climax the 8th Buem Congress held at New Ayoma. The celebration themed, "A Healthy People for Sustainable Development" attracted citizens of Buem, friends and tourists from all corners of the country.
