The Executives of the National Democratic Party, NDP has expressed the desire to have the former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, contest as the party�s Presidential Candidate in the December elections. Speaking to newsmen and party sympathizers at Wa in the Upper West Region, the Secretary General of the NDP, Dr Joseph Manboah Rockson, said although Mrs. Rawlings is yet to become a card bearing member of the NDP, the party will make the necessary overtures for her to run as its flag bearer due to her affection for the grassroots and outstanding record of women empowerment.
