My Gender Won't Hinder My Competence Eva Lokko

Newly appointed running mate of the Progressive Peoples Party, Eva Lokko has said that her gender will not hinder her competence in frontline politics and the campaign trail leading up to the December general elections. The Engineer and Communication expert was approved by the partys Executive Committee on Tuesday and outdoored on Wednesday to party supporters. Eva Lokko has been described by the PPP founder and flagbearer, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom as a principled, competent and an incorruptible individual. Speaking on Citi Fms Campaign Trail programme on Wednesday, Ms Lokko mentioned that being a woman brings an added advantage to Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduoms dreams of transforming the country. When a man becomes a running mate, nobody talks about how are you going to manage and how are you going to do this. Can you imagine the stress a mother goes through during pregnancy? And we manage it. Look, women can take stress because we go through a lot of it; in fact we are used to it. Have you seen how market women work? Have you seen women on the farm? That is stress and they manage it beautifully. She added that because women dont complain, you will think we dont go through stress. We do and I know the campaign trail will have stress but we are used to stress. We will walk on that campaign trail and talk to people to vote for the PPP to transform their lives.
