Real Madrid midfielder Michael Essien has suffered a slight injury setback, ruling him out of Sunday�s clash with Deportivo La Coruna. The Ghana international missed the club�s final training session on Saturday evening ahead of the game. Real Madrid�s first team squad trained at the Valdebebas in preparation for Sunday�s game against at the Santiago Bernabeu. The only person missing was Essien, who only worked out in the gym. The Ghanaian suffered a knock to his foot during the match against Millonarios and will definitely be out of the game against Depor. Jos� Mourinho led the session with all the first team players � with the exception of Essien. The injury is thought not to be serious and Essien could return for the Champions League in midweek.
