VEEP Meets UK Minister For Africa At The State House

Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur says the NDC will win the December election in a free, fair and transparent contest to enable the government to continue its better Ghana Agenda. He therefore expressed the governments gratitude to the UK counterpart for their immense support for Ghanas Electoral Commission to ensure the election is conducted in a peaceful atmosphere. He said the support, especially with the training of 16,000 security personnel and polling station agents will also go a long way to make the outcome of the election credible and acceptable to all the contesting parties. Vice President Amissah-Arthur said this when the new UK Minister for Africa, Mark Simmonds paid a courtesy call on him at his office at the State House in Accra. He said Ghana cherishes her relations with the UK and will continue to maintain this long standing bond for the benefit of the two countries.
