Inflation in the food and non- alcoholic beverages group remained unchanged at 4.4 per cent in September, the acting Government Statistician said. Local food products recorded an inflation rate of 3.4 per cent, almost three times lower than the 9.9 per cent rate recorded by imported food products. The Central Region recorded the highest year-on-year inflation rate of 11.3 per cent, followed by Greater Accra Region and Ashanti Region with 10.9 and 9.9 per cent respectively.
