"Prez Mahama Spoke Like A Mere Presidential Candidate"

The Progressive Peoples Party (PPP) has expressed disappointment at the performance of the Presidential Candidates at yesterdays Evening Encounter of the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA). Speaking on behalf of the party in an interview on Peace FM, the Youth Organizer of PPP, Divine Nkrumah said there was nothing new in what the candidates said during the debate which was held in Tamale, in the Northern Region. According to him, he expected President John Dramani Mahama to be abreast with everything that is happening in the country because most of the assertions he (the President) made were not factual. The participants did not do well at all. Somebody like Nana Akufo Addo was just engaging in propaganda. The most surprising one is President Mahama; as a President, I expected that he would do better, but he was speaking like a mere presidential candidate, promising a whole lot of things. He should have told us what he has done as President and not what he would do when given a second tenure in officeI believe those who gave him the facts misinformed him because that is not the true picture on the ground. As for yesterdays debate, I dont think anything new came out of it he opined.
