Ex Hearts Chief Zakour Accuses Togbe Afede of Running One-man Show

Former Hearts of Oak chairman Harry Zakour has accused Togbe Afede XIV of running a one-man show at the club. The Chief of the Asogli State in the Volta Region and a renowned businessman took over the club earlier this year after buying majority club shares during its sale. Togbe Afede also masterminded the sponsorship of the club by his investment firm, Strategic African Securities (SAS). He also provided a substantial chunk of money for the sides recruitment of players during the off-season. But Zakour, who presided over Hearts most glorious days in the late 90s and the early 2000s believes the current chairman is not running the club in the right way. I want to advice my brother Afede to stand firm and bring in people like Alhaji Hearts (Suleman Braimah), Nii Ayi Bonte and Ernest Thompson, he told Joy FM. Money is not everything. You can have all the money but if you dont bring on board the right people you will fail. Football is football and not administration, he should stop taking advice from the wrong people. Football is run by football people and therefore you need these people on board.
