President Mahama says those responsible for the collapse of the Melcom Shopping Complex opposite the Achimota Neoplan assembling plant will face the full rigours of the law if found guilty of negligence. Addressing the media at the scene where the incident occurred, President Mahama said "whoever are responsible for this negligence will have to pay a price for what they have caused." He said in the mean time, the rescue team is doing all it can to save the lives of those who are stuck in the rubble. He expressed his condolences to the family of those who have perished and called on all Ghanaians to remain calm.
