Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur has congratulated President Barrack Obama and the American people for retaining the Democratic Party in power in just-ended election in the United States. The Vice President made the statement when he interacted with members of the presidential press at the Jubilee Lounge at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra after his arrival from Takoradi where he participated in IEA-sponsored debate for presidential running. He was hopeful that the outcome of the US elections would be replicated by the Ghanaian electorate and give President John Mahama the mandate for a second term as the US has done for Obama and the Democrats.
