President Mahama Appoints Administrator General Of Presidential Estates Unit

President John Mahama has in accordance with section 8(2) of the Presidential Transition Act 845, appointed Joseph Donkor Issachar, as the Administrator General of the Presidential Estates Unit. A statement signed by the Secretary to the President, J.K. Bebaako-Mensah, Mr. Issachar will be the Head of the Unit which will undertake functions such as taxing inventory of assets and property of government which are not vested in the Land Commission. He is also to ensure that assets and government property are well maintained. Mr. Issachar is an accomplished Public Service Executive with diverse experience in the Civil Service. He was appointed Secretary to the Vice President in 2001 until 2006 when he was appointed as the Head of the Ghana Civil Service. The statement added that before this appointment, Mr. Issachar was a Principal Lecturer at GIMPA Public Services School.
