Aliu Mahama To Be Given A State Burial Tomorrow

Chief of Staff, Henry Martey Newman has indicated that former Vice President Aliu Mahama will be given a state burial tomorrow. Speaking to media men, he said the former Vice President who passed away on Friday will be laid in state tomorrow and buried at the Muslim section of the Osu Cemetery. He added that government will be providing aircraft to transport the family of the late Vice President from Tamale in the Northern Region to Accra for the burial. ��I went to his bedside, prayed and thanked God for his life�we have agreed that we will give him a state burial tomorrow and Muslim prayers at 1:30 on the four court of the state house and he will be buried thereafter at the Muslim part of the Osu Cemetery. We are providing two or three aircraft to bring the family from Tamale to join in the funeral celebration� he said. Meanwhile Government has set aside two days of National mourning for the former Vice President.
