Kotoko Radio Out Soon

KUMASI ASANTE Kotoko will soon get a radio station which will serve as the official electronic mouthpiece of the club. Kotoko already has an official newspaper � Kotoko Express- serving as the official print mouthpiece of the club. The radio station, dubbed Metro FM 94.1, like its print counterpart, would be a source of news about the Porcupine Warriors. Daily Guide Sports checks indicate that the new radio station, which has started a test transmission, is situated at Adako Jarchie close to the Kotoko training grounds. Reports indicate that the club�s management would use the station as a conduit to reach out to its teeming Red Army with the team�s exclusives. Huge banners of Metro FM, with the inscriptions �Kotoko Radio Coming Soon�, were placed at vantage points at the Baba Yara Stadium during the Kotoko-Hearts match. This paper learnt that Kotoko wanted to use their clash with Hearts to present the radio station, Metro FM, to its fans, hence the display of the banners. Snippets of information gathered by Daily Guide Sports indicate that Kotoko training sessions, as well as interviews with the players and coaches would be transmitted live on the network. The move, the paper gathered, was among the numerous interventions by the club, to get Kotoko closer to its millions of supporters.Already, some radio stations in the Garden City of Kumasi are claiming to be the official mouthpiece of Kotoko.
