Government Announces Plans For Improved Child Development

Government has announced plans for improved child development, teacher quality and professional training to enhance the input of basic education. This will improve the mental strength of the growing child as well as teacher�s skills in the learning environment. The Deputy National Coordinator for the Early Childhood Development Unit of the Ghana Education Service Mrs. Doris Gyedu-Nuako said this at the launch of the National I - Maths Programme in Accra. It is a creative mathematics programme for children between the ages of three and six years. The programme also encourages children to be interested in mathematics and understand its procedures without any fears.
