The Electoral Commission will from Monday, Decemebr 3 to Wednesday, December 5 undertake a registration of voters in Gayingo, Doba, Akunikongo/Abemtingo and Atosale/Azaasi electoral areas in the Kassena Nankana East District of the Upper East region. Below is a statement issued by the EC on the subject. REGISTRATION OF VOTERS IN GAYINGO DOBA, AKUNIKONGO/ABEMTINGO AND ATOSALE/AZAASI, ELECTORAL AREAS OF THE KESSENA NANKANA EAST DISTRICT. Following the order by the Fast Track High Court presided over by Justice U. P. Dery dated 30th November, 2012, by which the Electoral Commission was directed to undertake registration of voters in Gayingo, Doba, Akunikongo/Abemtingo and Atosale/Azaasi electoral areas in the Kassena Nankana East District of the Upper East region, the Commission announces for the information of the general public and especially eligible voters in the affected areas that it will undertake a registration of voters in the areas indicated from Monday 3rd to Wednesday 5th December, 2012. Applicants for registration are reminded to take with them one of the following to show as proof of their eligibility; a passport, driver�s licence, old voter ID card, National Health Insurance card or a National Identification Card. Applicants who qualify to register but do not possess any of the identification cards indicated above are required to bring two guarantors who are already registered voters to attest to their qualification to register as voters.
