Andre Ayew Gets Marseille Winner

Senegal defender Souleymane Camara and Ghana winger Andre Ayew both scored for Olympique Marseille as they edged hosts Brest 2-1 in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday. It was a good response from a side who were trounced 4-1 at home on Wednesday by leaders Olympique Lyon. The victory was Marseille's first at Brest and the hosts' first loss at home this season. The Ayew brothers, Jordan and Andre, played the entire match for the visitors who dominated the game from the start, and deservedly took the lead on 35 minutes when Diawara finished off a cross from English midfielder Joey Barton. The hosts drew level in a rare attacking move three minutes from the break, but Andre put Marseille back in front in the 57th minute after tapping home from a second Barton assist. On Saturday two other Africans were on target in the French top-flight. Ivorian defender Brice Dja Djedje, 21, scored his first goal of the season to give home side Evian TG a 1-1 draw with bottom side Nancy. Algeria forward Foued Kadir scored his sixth goal of the season to help Valenciennes to a 1:0 win over visitors Reims
