The National Chairman of the United Front Party (UFP), Nana Agyenim Boateng aka �Gyataba,� has described his party�s flagbearer, Kwasi Addai as an unintelligent person, who doesn�t deserve to be president of the country. Gyataba, who has declared his support for the presidential candidate of New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, said Odike must take advantage of the NPP�s free Senior High School (SHS) programme to educate himself properly. During the recently held peace programme for the presidential candidates organized by the Asantehene and the National Peace Council, Mr. Addai, affectionately called �Odike,� goofed when he said the country would go to polls on December 12, though the election is slated for December 7. Gyataba insisted that unpardonable mistake on the part of Mr. Addai on that great platform, which was viewed by millions of Ghanaians and people from beyond via the international media, gave credence to the fact that Odike was not fit to become president. The UFP National Chairman tasked his party members across the country not to vote for Mr. Addai in the upcoming elections, hinting that the party leadership would soon declare its support for a party at a press conference. Ghana, he said, needed a president that is intelligent, experienced and patriotic to generate wealth within the shortest possible time. He said aside the slip, Mr. Odike�s poor command of the English language exposed him and the party. Gyataba told Kessben FM that the UFP�s flagbearer was not competent to become president so they decided to choose another credible and intelligent person to lead the party to the polls. The UFP National chairman stated that the party�s plan was foiled at the eleventh hour by some unscrupulous people at the Electoral Commission (EC) who received bribes to allow Odike to file as UFP presidential candidate. NDC Sponsors Odike Gyataba alleged that the ruling NDC was sponsoring Odike and had provided him with a brand new Toyota Hilux car and money to campaign. The UFP National Chairman said the NDC wants to sponsor a candidate who is based in Kumasi to help reduce the NPP votes in the elections, adding that he not allow that to happen. Gyataba said the UFP is a national political party with members across Ghana, stressing that the party was not formed to help the NDC win polls.
