"I Will Never Regret Supporting Nana Addo"

Popular Ghanaian musician Sidney has strongly refuted the Informer Newspapers publication that he has regretted supporting Nana Addo in the just ended polls. The Informer reported Wednesday that Sidney, Kwabena Kwabena, Great Ampong, and Ken Kuranchie had regretted throwing their support behind the NPP flagbearer and are asking Ghanaians to forgive them for their actions. According to the paper, they were begging for forgiveness because of the gloom and doom that awaits their career after the person they supported was defeated in the elections. But the Apuskeleke singer released a statement on his Facebook wall stating that he has never and would never regret supporting Nana Akufo-Addo. Below is the unedited statement on Sidneys Facebook wall This is in response to today's INFORMER NEWSPAPER front page publication titled 'SIDNEY, KWABENA KWABENA,GREAT AMPONG & KEN KURANCHIE REGRET SUPPORTING NPP & BEG FOR FORGIVENESS'. First and foremost, I speak for myself. It is a total fabrication and a big lie concocted from their own imagination. It is never true, and I will never ever regret backing NANA ADDO & the NPP for election 2012. It is my civic right under the freedom of association bill enshrined in the 1992 constitution of Ghana to belong to any group of my choice. I STILL BELIEVE IN THE FREE S.H.S POLICY. Ghana has come a long way in our democratic process, celebrities endorsements of presidential candidates should not be taken too personal. I leave ANDY KANKAM (Editor in chief of the informer newspaper and their intelligence desk reporter) in the hands of the Omnipotent....The battle is still the lord's.
