Tema Youth Slapped With $6,500 Fine

Ghanaian Premier League side Tema Youth have been hit with a hefty $6,500 fine by the Ghana Football Association for improper conduct. Club technical director Prince Yaw Owusu, President Wilfred Osei Palmer and their team manager have been fined $1,500, $2,500 and $2,500 respectively. The Habour-based side were charged with improper conduct after they attacked officiating officials and some Berekum Chelsea staffs during their Glo Premier League clash at the Tema Park in November. Prince Owusu, who is assistant at Ghana U20, charged on center referee Cecil Fletcher during recess but he told the GFA's disciplinary Committee he only expressed his concerns with officiating.
