Mohammed Polo Tells Abedi Pele's Son To Hush Up After Afcon Snub

Jordan Ayew has complained about his exclusion from Ghana's Nations Cup squad Legend Mohammed Polo wants Jordan Ayew to keep a cool head following his tirade at the Ghana FA for his dropping from the Africa Cup of Nations squad. The 20-year-old has not taken kindly to his exit by accusing the Ghana FA of masterminding the act. The Marseille star has not been happy with the decision of coach Kwesi Appiah to drop him from his provisional 26-man squad despite his sterling performances for French giants Olympique Marseille. But the ex-Hearts of Oak great wants the third son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele to remain calm and desist from taking a parting shot at the FA. I think whoever is advising the young man should tell him to be patient, Polo said. The fact that youre not selected to play at the Nations Cup does not mean the world has come to and end. He is a fine player, who is very young and should bear that in mind. Criticizing the decision of the coach will not inure to his benefit. Hes the man in charge and decides which players he wants to work with. They should advise him well and do not allow him to destroy his international career. Top players all over the world are dropped form international assignment. He is not the first and wont be the last. Ayew has notched up eight goals for Marseille in all competitions this season.
