Regional Minister Survives Shooting Incident....Likely To Be Flown To Accra

Peacefmonline.com can confirm that the Upper West Regional Minister, Alhaji Amidu Sulemana has been shot by some unknown assailants. According to reports, the Regional Minister's convoy was attacked in the early hours of Friday, December 21 by identified gunmen suspected to be armed robbers. He is said to be currently on admission at the Gwollu Government Hospital where he is receiving treatment for gunshot wounds. But it appears he will be conveyed to the regional capital Wa, from where he might be flown to Accra for further treatment. His predecessor, Mahmud Halid, the former Regional Minister, confirmed the news to PeaceFM, a short while ago.
