Mahama Inauguration: Independence Square To Get A Facelift � Ras Mubarak

Preparations for the 7th January Swearing-In-Ceremony of President-Elect, John Mahama is under way and would be completed within time, the Presidential Inauguration Committee has said. The Committee says plans for security, transportation, and logistics are been implemented on to ensure a successful and smooth ceremony. Eleven Heads of State and 18 government delegations across the world have confirmed their participation in the inauguration scheduled for Monday. In an interview with Citi News Ras Mubarak a member of the Grounds Sub Committee in-charge of preparing the venue for the President�s inauguration said, the Independence Square will need a facelift for the purpose. He also stated that due to bad weather conditions and the closeness of the building to the sea, it would have to be re-painted. "Now there is got to be a platform where His Excellency, the President will be seated and that is currently under construction, we are within time," he added. Ras Mubarak also stated that "the people responsible for getting us light and all of those other things are also working hand in hand to make sure that all aspects of work at the grounds are covered".
