The Management of Zoomlion Ghana Limited has observed with concern, the comments in the media to the effect that the two young women killed by a waste management truck in the early hours of January 18, 2013 in Accra were killed by a Zoomlion refuse truck. Management wishes to emphasise that the truck involved in that accident at Okponglo traffic light was not a Zoomlion truck but belongs to a different waste management company. Management believes that this situation has arisen due to our popularity and clout as well as the fact that we are everywhere in the country. While sharing in the pain of the families of the two young women, Zoomlion wishes to allay the fears of all sympathises and concerned stakeholders that it was not one of our trucks that was involved in the accident.
