NPP: 4.6 Million Votes Were Added In Favour Of Prez. Mahama

The New Patriotic Party has denied claims that they are intentionally impeding the court process with their intention to amend an earlier petition submitted to the Supreme Court. A member of the legal team of President John Dramani Mahama, Lawyer Dominic Ayine, accused the NPP of trying to buy time. According to him, lawyers of the NPP should have known that you dont come to court when you are not prepared. Nonetheless, they are entitled to do that but I think what they are doing is just to buy timethis is one hell of a strategy that is meant to let this matter drag on for as long as possible. I believe the petitioners do not have a case; if they had they would have supplied us with those particulars and not to bring in an amended petition. Its obvious Dr. Ayine said on Citi FMs eye witness news. However, Mr. Yaw Buabeng Asamoah, Deputy Director of Communications of the NPP says it is untrue that they are dragging the feet of the Supreme Court as well everybody involved in the election petition filed by the NPP. According to him, they have evidence which points to the fact that over 4.6 million votes were added in favour of President Mahama. Speaking on the same platform, Yaw Buabeng Asamoah posited: At the time the petitioners filed their petition at the Supreme Court, they have only looked through a few of the pink sheets. As the days unfolded, lawyers of the petition went through the rest of the raw materials and they have come out with additional figures showing that the irregularities happened in excess of over 11,916 polling stations and so it is important that these figures are brought before the court The material import of the petition has not changed. What has changed are the figures that have come to our notice. Now you are looking at a little over 4.6 million votes that appeared to have been counted illegally in polling stations
