Sonnie Badu To Reward Fatau Dauda With $2,000

Ghanaian-born United Kingdom gospel artiste, Sonnie Badu has promised to give an amount of $2,000 to the Black Stars goalkeeper Fatau Dauda following his heroics against Cape Verde last Saturday. Badu, who has released top gospel hits like Baba and Covenant Keeping God, was watching the match and after being bowled over by Baudas performance, he tweeted via his handle @SonnieBaduUk, Kwesi APPIAH PLS I HAVE 2,000 dollars for DAUDA. After the match, Badu tweeted again, Man of the match!! Calling him now!!! Fatau Dauda was voted the Orange man-of-the match in Ghanas quarter-final win over Cape Verde at the Africa Cup of Nations on Saturday in Port Elizabeth. The goalkeeper, making his debut appearance at the Nations Cup, pulled great saves to prevent the Blue Sharks from hitting the back of his net as Ghana won 2-0. Fatau, after conceding two goals in the Black Stars opening game at the competition, has kept three clean sheets. Meanwhile, Ghana captain Asamaoh Gyan also picked his second successive Fair Play Award at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations following the victory over Cape Verde.
