Ghana�s goal-stopper Fatau Dauda has stated that he celebrated the way he did in the Cape Verde game because he wants to be unique. When Mubarak Wakaso scored Ghana�s second goal against Cape Verde in the quarter final of the ongoing Africa Nations Cup in South Africa, goalkeeper Fatau Dauda ran to the cameras and did what has been described as the �Dracula� celebration. Even though many Ghanaians praised him for his performance in the game, they took to social media, especially facebook and twitter, to criticize his doing the �Dracula� gesture on camera, with some saying jokingly that he would scare away investors and tourists from Ghana. At the post-match press conference however, Fatau Dauda said: �Some players dye their hair to attract attention and for the sake of recognition. I have decided to celebrate in style. That is why I celebrated the way I did against Cape Verde. �I will take it to another level in our next game,� he added. He said he had not reached his peak yet, despite his steady progress at the 29th Nations Cup. The Ashgold goalkeeper told the media yesterday that he was still learning and believed his best was yet to come. �I am still learning, I haven�t arrived yet. I have been advised by some elderly persons in football not to be swollen-headed, and I have taken it in good faith,� he said in a press conference yesterday. �I am focusing and I believe the sky will be my limit,� he added. His spirited performance in the competition especially in the Ghana-Cape Verde quarter final clash has endeared him to the competition�s organizers. Consequently, he was adjudged the Most Valuable Player of the match and he mentioned that it would urge him on to go the extra mile in his future endeavours. His colleagues offered him a kingly ride after the Cape Verde game for his exceptional interventions.
