Sammy Awuku To Bishop Agyin-Asare: Two Wrongs Does Not Make A Right

A Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Samuel Awuku, has criticised Bishop Charles Agyin Asare, head pastor of the Word Miracle Church International for coming out publicly to chastise Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, founder and head pastor of the Glorious Word Ministry International. According to him, if it was wrong for Rev. Owusu Bempah to have come out publicly with the death prophecy on the President, then it was also wrong for Bishop Agyin-Asare to have also gone public accusing him of causing fear and panic. ..if two wrongs do not make a right then Bishop Agyin-Asare also erred in rebuking Rev. Owusu Bempah in public. If you think what he did was unethical, nothing also stops Bishop Agyin-Asare from picking a phone to approach him; but you dont take him head on; that will alsoprompt him(Rev. Bempah) to act... Awuku said. The two men of God were at each others throat concerning a prophecy of death about President John Dramani Mahama. Rev. Owusu Bempah a few days ago disclosed that he had received a prophecy that President Mahama will die if steps were not taken to avert it. According to him, Ghanaians especially the President needs to pray and draw closer to God before the misfortune can be averted. However, in a sermon on Sunday, Bishop Charles Agyin-Asare, professed that; President Mahama will not die a premature death as prophesied by Rev. Owusu Bempah. According to Bishop Agyin-Asare, Rev. Owusu Bempahs utterances can cause fear and panic for the family members of President Mahama as well as the entire country. The Bishop also feels that it is unethical for Rev. Bempah to grant an interview coming out publicly with the prophecy instead of going to see the President personally. In a rather sharp response in an interview on Peace FMs midday news on Monday, Rev. Owusu Bempah alluded that his fellow man of God does not have the moral right to condemn his act because he is not a prophet. According to him, when he had similar prophecies concerning the death of former President John Atta-Mills and former Vice President Aliu Mahama, the same pastors accused him of not coming out early to say it; adding why should they complain now if I have said it earlier this time? The renowned man of God, had earlier prophesied about the death of the late President John Atta-Mills and former Vice President Aliu Mahama in 2012, as well as a plane crash on December 31, 2011. Interacting with Tweneboa Kodua(TK) on Tuesdays edition of the kokrokoo programme on Peace FM, Samuel Awuku said: Lets also be fair to Rev. Owusu Bempah; when he spoke, he didnt take sides with NPP or NDC. Lets be very fair in our criticisms. As for me I will not criticise men of God because I dont know which one is true and which is not...I think if Bishop Agyin-Asare had any problem with what his fellow man of God said, he could have personally approached him
