Wa All Stars played a highly spirited game to beat Ashgold 1-0 in their 17th week Glo Premier League encounter at Obuasi Len Clay sports Stadium on Sunday.
The only goal came in the 17th minute from Michael Mensah whose powerful shot beat goalkeeper Fatau Dauda.
The visitors continued to raid the goal area of Ashgold for another goal but the homers defence stood gallantly.
Back from recess, Ashgold played like wounded lions, firing from all angles to level up but keeper Richard Ofori was always alert to save shots at goal until referee Fredrick Bediako brought proceedings to an end.
